Tell me about your career and your current job. What does a "day in the life of you" look like?

I am a Doctoral-prepared certified Family Nurse Practitioner currently working as a multi-state telehealth provider licensed in 22+ different states. I also work as an Adjunct Lecturer of Nursing in the online DNP Program at Regis College. A typical day is never the same. Sometimes I see 40 patients a day while answering student questions, holding Zoom sessions, etc. I feel so blessed to truly have the best of both worlds: educating students in the classroom and practicing medicine in a multi-state telehealth practice. Love your job(s) and you’ll never work a day in your life!

What is your greatest professional accomplishment? Contributions you have made or plan to make in your role.

My greatest professional accomplishment is not only obtaining my DNP degree, but becoming a faculty member at my alma mater. This was a dream and aspiration of mine and for it to come to fruition is priceless. I am continuously working to improve as a provider and an educator.

How did your experiences and your education at Regis prepare you for life after college?

My experiences and education at Regis prepared me to become a competent Doctoral-prepared certified Family Nurse Practitioner and educator. I felt as though I had all the necessary tools to successfully pass the board certification on the first try and obtain a job to give back and share my skills.

Share a memorable experience during your time at Regis. (Internship, study abroad, service trip, clinicals, etc) How did that experience affect you, professionally and personally.

During my time at Regis, I had many memories such as developing relationships with classmates, professors, and participating in virtual events. Even though my program was 100% virtual, I felt a part of a big family and supportive community. This experience not only affected me in my personal life but gave me the tools to become a success in my professional life.
