Regis goes north

In November 2015, Regis announced its partnership with North Essex Community College (NECC) in Lawrence, Mass. In collaboration with NECC, Regis offers flexible and convenient bachelor degree completion programs in nursing, public health, and health sciences that lead to in-demand health care careers. The Regis North satellite is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Additionally, all graduates receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Regis North will have a minor in public health, reflecting Regis’ strong commitment to education in health care, not just for the individual, but for the entire community.

Alumnae Alexa and Alex are TheLexNPs

The Lexes met at Regis while they were both enrolled in the Accelerated BSN/MSN program, first receiving their bachelor of science degrees in nursing and then going on to earn their master of science nursing degrees in 2015. After graduating, Alexa Nicholls Costa was selected for a prestigious summer program through Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital, where she currently works as a Nurse Practitioner. Read more. Alexa also sits on the Regis Alumni Board of Directors, working with the school to engage alumni and advance Regis. Alexandra Rogers is a Nurse Practitioner at a local Urgent Care clinic.

The nursing duo became friends at Regis and before long, the idea of TheLexNPs—a concierge cosmetic practice—was born. The Lexes hit the ground running right after their Regis graduation and less than a year later, the NPs have their own business and they are featured in the January/February issue of Northshore Magazine. Congratulations to Alex and Alexa! Visit their website or follow TheLexNPs on Instagram. Photo: Alex (left) and Alexa.
