Tell me about your career and your current job.
I have always had a passion for work in the laboratory setting, research and discovery, and molecular biology. Adimab specializes in human antibody discovery and optimization, and I serve as a research associate on the high-throughput expression department as a member of the sequencing team.

What is your greatest professional accomplishment?
Being able to play a part in the process of optimization and engineering of antibody discovery campaigns that have and will continue to enter clinical trials and one day potentially impact human health is a very enriching experience. Sequencing plays a key role in the QC process of research and discovery and being able to work on multiple campaigns with different targets, development processes, and various partners has allowed me to grow tremendously in my career.

What are some life lessons you learned at Regis that have served you well throughout your career?
At Regis, I worked on the lab bench consistently, while developing various skills and molecular biology techniques that I apply every day in my current role. Additionally, having LOM as a minor allowed me to understand the biotechnology sector on a deeper level, and it allowed me to see all the various efforts and teams that are involved and complement scientific research.

Share a memorable experience during your time at Regis.
Working with Dr. Hogan in the classroom and laboratory allowed me to discover my passion for research and discovery. Being part of the independent study led by Dr. Hogan, where peptide phage were used to identify high-affinity binding targets to an ovarian cancer target, introduced me to research and discovery and allowed me to further my skills in the laboratory. Having had such an impactful experience that allowed me to learn various molecular biology techniques was the beginning of my career in the laboratory. Additionally, being a student-athlete and captain of the soccer team gave me tremendous experiences to grow and develop as a person and teammate. I was able to develop leadership skills and apply them in my everyday activities. Today I use these skills in a fast-paced team environment.

If you were a student scholar recipient, what would you say to your donor today if you could?
I would like to thank Regis donors for their altruistic efforts that allowed me to pursue my dream and further my academic and personal development. Regis provided me with a robust academic foundation and invaluable experiences that helped me get to where I am today.
