Regis Fund Executive Committee

The Regis Fund Executive Committee is a volunteer group of Regis alumni who work in conjunction with the Office of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Relations to raise unrestricted funds for the College. Meet the Committee

Gertrude (Breen) Alfredson ’47
Gert received her degree in business with a minor in accounting from Regis in 1947. She also attended Boston University where she received an accreditation in insurance. She has been a long-time volunteer in the alumni office and, in addition to serving on the Regis Fund Executive Committee since its inception in 2006, she volunteers on the Alumni Board of Directors and is the president of her class. She was on the reunion planning committee for her reunion in 2012 and has been a fund agent for many years as well. She is the current chairperson of the committee.


Elinor “Ellie” (Ryan) Devlin ’70
Ellie joined the Annual Fund Executive Committee in 2011. However, her involvement with Regis didn’t start there. Ellie is part of a Regis legacy family. Three of Ellie’s sisters attended Regis, and her father, John “Bud” Ryan, was a member of the Board of Trustees for many years. Bud remembers his father overseeing the construction of the College in the 1920s, so the Ryan family has truly been part of the Regis community right from the start. Ellie is a graduate of the class of 1970.   


Judith (Murphy) Lauch, BS
A Regis College graduate of the Class of 1968 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and mathematics, Judy Lauch holds a master’s certificate in project management from George Washington University. She consults with non-profits in administrative areas, currently working at City Year, Inc. Judy has worked at IBM and Lotus Development Corporations. For nearly thirty years, she managed software organizations in the mainframe division at IBM and administered a number of large development projects. She also served as a liaison between IBM and Lotus. In addition, Judy worked as chief administrative officer at the YWCA Boston and volunteered at the YWCA in Dutchess County, N.Y., where she is past president of the board of directors. Judy Lauch has co-chaired the Regis College Fund and been a fund agent at Regis, has volunteered at St. Joseph’s Parish in Boston, and has served in the Big Sister program.  

Beth (Healey) Kossuth ’66
Beth received her degree in chemistry with a minor in mathematics from Regis in 1966. Following graduation, she was a computer programmer for several years before taking time off to stay at home with her 3 children.  In 1985, Beth earned an M.Ed. in educational technology from Boston College.  She began teaching programming at Melrose High School in January of 1985, eventually moving into the math department. After teaching math at Wakefield High School and Nazareth Academy, she ended her teaching career in June 2009 retiring from St. John’s Prep having spent 9 years there.Volunteering and giving back to others have been an integral part of her life, from the local PTO to the Boy Scouts.  At her church she has been a member of the Parish Council, religious education committee, and choir.  She also served as a Eucharistic Minister.Beth currently volunteers as a math tutor at Notre Dame Christo Rey High School in Lawrence, MA.She is a former member of the Regis Alumnae Board of Directors, she worked with other classmates on reunion planning committees, and has served as class fund agent for many years. Beth joined the Regis Fund Executive Committee in 2013.  

Carole (Groncki) McCarthy ’65
Carole received her Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Regis in 1965. She is serving since its inception in 2006. She also serves as a fund agent.

Carolyn Moran ’67 ’83
Carolyn received her Bachelor’s degree from Regis in 1967. She also received her Master's degree in Special Education from Regis in 1983. She is retired from the Boston Public Schools where she served as a special education Evaluation Team Facilitator. She has 5 daughters and 2 grandchildren. She joined the Regis Fund Executive Committee in 2013. 

Maureen Stephens ’81
Maureen graduated from Regis College in 1981 with a major in English and communications.  She has worked for nonprofit and educational institutions utilizing and developing communication, fundraising, marketing, and project management skills.  Currently, she works in the Development Office of Harvard Law School.  She strongly believes in the importance of philanthropy and how philanthropy empowers individuals to create positive change within institutions they care deeply about, such as their alma mater. Maureen has been a member of the Regis Fund Executive Committee since 2010. Maureen believes the educational foundation in liberal arts she received at Regis prepared her for various positions within the evolving workplace.  She cherishes the lifelong friendships she formed at Regis.  

Ann (Smith) Tobin ’58
Ann graduated from Regis College in 1958 with a major in psychology. She also attended Framingham State University where she received her Master's in Special Education. Ann is a retired Special Ed teacher. She is a member of the Holliston Historical Society and St. Mary's WINGS group.  She is married to Bill Tobin, a BC graduate and they have six sons and 15 grandchildren. She loves her 1845 home in Holliston and enjoys traveling. Ann joined the Regis Fund Executive Committee in 2013.
